Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the NiVi Drive Assist (NDA) Android app and the nividriveassist.nidhiwishall.com website collect, use, store, and share your information. NDA is a voice-first driving assistant that processes location and trip data during active journeys.
This policy applies to Google Play Store listing and all app users.

3. Data we collect
- Precise location (GPS): While a trip is active, via a foreground service — for tracking, distance, ETA, overspeed awareness, and voice announcements.
- Approximate location / addresses: Via Google Places and geocoding for destination search and route planning.
- Account information: Google Sign-In (name, email, profile photo) for app/web login and optional cloud sync.
- Trip and app activity: Trip history, saved routes, telemetry samples, TTS announcement logs, vehicle settings — primarily stored locally in a Room database on your device.
- Crash and diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics — technical crash reports to improve stability (limited personally identifiable information).
- Device and app version: Technical metadata attached to crash reports and sync operations.
We do not currently use Firebase Analytics. If added in the future, this page will be updated.
4. How we use data
- Live trip tracking and voice announcements (distance, time, speed, GPS stability)
- Overspeed awareness based on vehicle limits you configure
- Trip history, route replay, and saved locations
- Optional cloud backup — only when you choose Sync Up
- Diagnosing and fixing app crashes
- Secure APK portal and trip history views on the website
5. Location data — important
- Location is collected mainly during an active trip (a foreground service notification is shown).
- We do not intend continuous background tracking when no trip is active.
- GPS data is processed on-device; cloud upload occurs only per your sync choices.
6. Where data is stored
- On device (Room SQLite): Trip tracks, announcements, history, settings — removed when you uninstall the app.
- Cloud (Firebase Firestore): After Google login, when you manually run Sync Up — saved routes, trips, settings.
- Firebase Authentication: Login session and identity.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Crash logs on Google servers.
7. Third-party services
We use the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Play services, Google Maps / Places API
- Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Crashlytics, Hosting)
- Google Sign-In (app and website)
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
8. Data sharing
We share data only:
- With the technical providers listed above (to operate the service)
- When required by law
Access to your Firestore data is tied to your Firebase Auth account.
9. Retention
- On-device data: until you keep it in the app or uninstall
- Cloud data: while you maintain sync; contact us to request deletion
- Crash logs: Firebase Crashlytics default retention (typically ~90 days)
10. Your rights and choices
- End a trip to stop tracking
- Control announcements, overspeed TTS, and GPS alerts in app settings
- Uninstall the app to remove local data
- Email support.nividriveassist@nidhiwishall.com to request cloud data deletion
- Revoke location permission in Android settings (core features will be affected)
11. Children
NDA is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical measures (HTTPS, Firebase security rules, local encrypted storage where applicable). No internet transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use via Play Store or the app may constitute acceptance of the updated policy.
